    In The Shallows, the author of The Big Switch brings us a fascinating look at how technology is changing our brains.     Kids who love the Wimpy Kids books will enjoy this one. They develop a research project to try to figure out what makes a kid popular. They want to crack that code before they start middle school, and that’s when the fun starts. Their quest to gain popularity may not turn out the way they planned, but it surely keeps the reader in stitches.

Children’s author JEFF STONE will introduce Dragon, the seventh book in his The Five Ancestors Series.  The series takes the reader back 350 years when China’s Cangzhen Temple was destroyed.  Only five young warriors survived the destruction of their home temple.  Each is named after a different animal—Tiger, Monkey, Snake, Crane, Dragon---for each is the youngest ever to master that animal’s kung fu fighting style.
